Ilmatar has made the final investment decision to build a 30-turbine wind farm in Pahkakoski, in municipality of Ii, approximately 60 kilometers North-East from Oulu, Finland.
Construction of the 186MW onshore wind farm starts immediately, and turbines are expected to reach the site already in late summer 2024. The planned commercial operation date is in summer 2025. Vestas will supply 30 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines and the agreement includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines. Upon completion, Vestas will service the turbines under a 30-years service agreement.
