Dong Fang Offshore (DFO) has announced the award by Vestas to support the operations and maintenance phase for the Changfang Xidao and Zhong Neng offshore wind projects utilising a newbuild service operation vessel (SOV).
The companies signed a firm contract for a duration of 12 years. The SOV will be delivered in the last quarter of 2026 from the shipyard and will sail under the flag of Taiwan. Dong Fang Offshore, founded in 2019, is the owner and operator of wind farm construction and support vessels in the Asia-Pacific region. DFO employs over 300 professionals in the offshore wind industry.
