wpd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, an official declaration of intent between the company and the political leadership of Canton 10 to advance the development of renewable energy projects.
With this declaration, wpd also signed two concession contracts and thus gained legal certainty for the development of the Čadilj and Marino Brdo projects with a total capacity of 264MW. The MoU was signed in Livno, western Bosnia and Herzegovina, by Ivan Vukadin, Prime Minister of Canton 10, and Dijana Puzigaća, Minister of Economy of Canton 10. For wpd, Andreas Chollet signed the declaration as Head of international Project Development, while Zoran Obradović as Managing Director of wpd Adria and Project Manager Ivan Šutalo presented the projects to the public.Obtaining concessions is a prerequisite in Bosnia and Herzegovina for all permits required for the realization of a project. In addition, access to state owned land in the project area is linked to the possession of a concession.
