Benjamin Ahrens has joined the management board of Deutsche WindGuard Consulting and now leads the company in Varel, Germany, alongside Managing Director Axel Albers.
Ahrens, aged 36, holds a Master's degree in Engineering Physics with a focus on wind energy from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. He previously worked in ENERCON’s research and development department, specialising in project management, power curve measurements and prototype testing. He joined Deutsche WindGuard in 2019 as a project engineer in the Power Curve and Wind Measurements department. In mid-2021, he became deputy manager, and from January 2023, he oversaw the reorganisation of the company’s measurement equipment workshop.
