Boskalis’ new crane vessel Bokalift 2, equipped with an upending hinge and pile gripper frame, is now heading West to install turbine foundations for multiple offshore wind farms in the USA.
The vessel has left the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for the journey across the Atlantic. Her first task will be to install a monopile with secondary steel and place a substation that is made in the USA. Soon some of Boskalis’ transport vessels will follow to deliver the monopiles that serve as the foundations for the turbines.
