Føn Energy Services, supported by Norwegian industrial group IKM and industrial investment company Akastor, is teaming up with Dutch offshore wind farm services firm C-Ventus to establish a European operations and maintenance (O&M) company for offshore wind.
Føn Energy Services, which has approximately 90 employees and three decades of O&M expertise in the offshore market, operates in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. C-Ventus specialises in O&M services for the offshore wind sector, offering a range of services including balance of plant-services for topside and subsea equipment, installation support, and decommissioning services. Based in the Netherlands, C-Ventus provides project management and engineering, supported by a network of around 350 field technicians across Europe.
Under the agreement, Føn Energy Services will acquire 100% of the shares in C-Ventus from DISA International, a global provider of marine engineering, civil construction, and offshore oil and gas services. The consideration consists primarily of shares in Føn Energy Services resulting in DISA controlling 22.67% of class A shares in the company. Akastor and The IKM Group will both control 38.67% of the Class A shares. The parties have not disclosed the financial details of the transaction.
