Dehn has announced the construction of a new production facility in Piteşti, Romania, to serve the European market. This follows the recent opening of additional production sites in Mühlhausen, Germany, and Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. With capacity in Germany nearing its limits, the company selected the CTPark industrial site in Piteşti—north-west of Bucharest—based on the availability of a skilled workforce, favourable local conditions, and sufficient space.
Dehn plans to invest around €10 million in the new facility over the coming years. While its sites in Neumarkt and Mühlhausen will concentrate on high-volume production and automated processes, the Romanian facility will specialise in smaller-scale, customised surge protection products that involve more manual assembly. Construction is expected to take around ten months, with production scheduled to begin in mid-2026. The plant will employ up to 150 staff.
