Enercon is preparing the industrial ramp-up phase for its new turbine model, the E-175 EP5 E2. At the company’s generator centre in Magdeburg-Rothensee, Germany, efforts are focused on increasing production of the required generators.
Production of the new E2 generators began in Magdeburg in November last year, with series output gradually scaling up since then. The E-175 EP5 E2 has a nominal capacity of 7.0 MW and a rotor diameter of 175 metres.
