The European Commission has approved the acquisition of EDPR Offshore España, (Spain), by ENGIE (France) and EDP Renovaveis (Portugal). EDPR Offshore España is a subsidiary of the EDP group and is a developer of offshore wind farms worldwide.
Engie is an energy company active in the supply of gas and electricity. EDP Renovaveis is also a subsidiary of the EDP group, active in the development, construction and operation of wind farms and solar power plants worldwide. The Commission has concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns due to its limited impact on the market.
