FairWind has announced three senior appointments across its blade and service operations in Europe. Flemming Jensen has joined the company as Head of Blades for the Northern and Central Europe (NCE) region, while José Luis Perales Bañón has been appointed Head of Service for the Mediterranean (MED) region. Maicon Luis Pinheiro de Almeida has taken on the role of Blades Manager in the MED region.
Jensen brings more than 20 years of experience in the wind industry, including blade repair planning and project execution. He previously spent more than a decade at Vestas in a range of senior positions, including Blades Specialist and Blade Manager, before joining FairWind from Vento Energy Service. He will lead FairWind’s blade activities across the NCE and UK and Ireland regions.
Perales Bañón joins from RES, where he served as Director of Operations Wind Southern Europe. He has 20 years of experience in the wind sector and previously held international service and coordination roles at Ingeteam.
As Head of Service for the Mediterranean region, he will oversee FairWind’s service activities, including operations and maintenance, major component replacement and blade services, as well as projects in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal.
Almeida joins from Aerones, where he was Blade Repair and Operational Excellence Manager. He has more than 15 years of experience in wind turbine blade manufacturing and services, including seven years with Nordex in blade service leadership roles.
In his new position, Almeida will support the expansion of FairWind’s blade repair activities across the Mediterranean region, with a particular focus on Spain.
