First monopile manufactured in Sif’s expanded production facilities

Sif Holding has announced that it successfully manufactured the first of 54 monopiles for Equinor’s Empire Wind 1 project on the new production line at the expanded production facilities in Maasvlakte 2, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

 

The first monopile for Empire Wind was completed on 28 November 2024. The company will now focus on scaling up the facilities to manufacture approximately 200 monopiles per year.
