GE Vernova has opened a new customer experience centre at its Pensacola facility, marked by a ribbon-cutting event hosted by chief executive officer Scott Strazik. The centre includes multiple conference rooms, collaboration and networking areas, and direct access to the production space.
The investments in Pensacola are part of GE Vernova’s broader plan, announced in January, to invest nearly $600 million in its USA factories and facilities over the next two years. So far, the factory has produced enough turbines to supply over 1.2 GW of the 2.4 GW of orders GE Vernova will provide for the SunZia wind farm in New Mexico, USA.
Additionally, GE Vernova has received new orders for 109 wind turbines for RWE New Energy projects in Texas, with deliveries set to begin later this year. Since 2024, the Pensacola facility has manufactured nearly 500 repower turbines, supplying over 850 MW to repowering projects across the USA.
