Rebecca Williams has been appointed Deputy CEO of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). In other changes at GWEC, Stewart Mullin, formerly Chief Operations Officer, has been appointed Chief Industry Officer.
In his new role, Mullin will help develop sectors and markets, support the Council’s work with the industry, and ensure interconnections between the organisation's increasingly diverse membership.
The global policy team, based in GWEC’s new Lisbon headquarters, has been strengthened with the addition of specialists in four key areas for wind energy’s continued growth. GWEC welcomes João Esteves as grids specialist, Benoit Moreaux as a specialist in permitting and planning, Juan Tomas as a trade specialist, and Nina Melkonyan as a supply chain specialist.
