Next Geosolutions Europe (NextGeo) has announced that Jurgen Beerens will join the team in September as the Business Development Director for the North and Baltic Sea region. In this strategic role, he will focus on identifying new goals and business opportunities in offshore wind and renewable energy sectors.Jurgen Beerens began his career in 1991 as a hydrographic surveyor in the marine construction industry. Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide range of offshore and coastal projects around the world, specialising in the collection and management of hydrographic, geophysical, and geotechnical data. He later moved into consultancy, management, and strategic commercial development roles. From 2005 to 2022, he served as Commercial Director for the Dutch company Deep BV, which specialises in hydrography and marine geophysics, and from 2022 to 2024, he was Director of Strategy and Business Development. In both positions, he was responsible for shaping and implementing the company’s growth strategy.
