OnPath Energy has appointed Andy Bilclough as Grid and Operations Director, strengthening its senior management team. Andy brings nearly 30 years of experience in the energy industry. In his new role, he will oversee health and safety, operational and grid teams, and contribute to OnPath Energy’s wider business strategy.
He began his career as an apprentice linesman at National Grid, working in various roles over 12 years before becoming a project manager. He then moved to Northern Powergrid, where he led a £50 million overhead powerline investment programme and later managed wind farm connections as Head of Connections Delivery.
Andy spent 16 years at Northern Powergrid, most recently as Director of Field Operations. In this role, he was responsible for fault response, new connections, and infrastructure investment strategies, leading a team of around 3,600 staff and contractors.
