Port of Roenne continued to develop its role as a key logistics hub for offshore wind in 2024, with infrastructure upgrades allowing for increased project handling capacity. Phase three of the port expansion, carried out by MT Højgaard, was completed during the year and is expected to be finalised by the end of 2025. The expanded area enables the port to support two simultaneous offshore wind projects, strengthening its position in the Baltic Sea region.

In 2025, the port will handle shipments of wind turbine foundations and the new Vestas 15 MW offshore wind turbine for projects in the Baltic Sea. This follows ongoing growth in offshore-related activity and reflects the port’s continued alignment with the renewable energy sector. The port’s strategy remains focused on supporting offshore wind logistics, efficient operations, and long-term sustainability.
