The Qualitas Energy Credit Fund will receive financing through the Spanish Regional Resilience Fund under its alternative financing programme for sustainable development. The funding will support energy transition and sustainability projects developed by small and medium-sized enterprises and midcap companies.
The programme will provide EUR 62 million through a transaction carried out by the European Investment Fund, part of the EIB Group, using resources from NextGenerationEU. The fund is managed by Qualitas Energy, which focuses on financing and developing renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure. Its activities include support for greenfield and brownfield renewable energy projects and platforms covering wind, solar, hydropower, battery energy storage systems and renewable gas.
Qualitas Energy has completed five investments with a combined value of around EUR 170 million. These transactions have created a diversified renewable energy infrastructure financing portfolio across Spain, Poland, Germany and Italy.
