Iberdrola supplied 68,645 GWh of electricity in the first quarter of 2026, a 9.7% increase compared with the same period the previous year. By country, the United Kingdom recorded the largest increase, with distributed energy rising by 72.6% to 14,687 GWh. In Spain, distribution reached 23,462 GWh, while Brazil accounted for 20,485 GWh and the United States for 10,012 GWh.
At the end of March, Iberdrola’s total generation capacity stood at 58,877 MW, an increase of 3.8% year on year. Capacity additions were recorded in the United States (+693 MW), Spain (+552 MW), Australia (+537 MW) and other European markets (+377 MW), as well as in the United Kingdom (+192 MW).
By technology, offshore wind capacity increased by 16.2% to 2,621 MW, while solar reached 9,013 MW, up 12.7%. Energy storage capacity also rose, with battery installations increasing by 157.6% to 683 MW.
Electricity production totalled 36,106 GWh, up 2%, supported by growth in the United Kingdom (+41%), other European countries (+25%) and Australia (+7%). Offshore wind recorded the highest growth among technologies, with output increasing by 42%.
