Renewable Parts has launched its inaugural overseas operations base in Houston, Texas, USA. The company will replicate the specialist refurbishment centres it operates in Renfrew and Lochgilphead, UK, thereby creating six jobs within the first year in the USA.
Renewable Parts adopts a circular economy approach to ageing turbine components, avoiding the disposal of unserviceable parts to scrap or landfill. This approach helps reduce lead times, costs, and carbon footprint. The company has been actively involved in the onshore and offshore wind industries, offering various refurbishment solutions such as brake calipers, yaw gears, pitch rams, anemometers, and a wide range of electrical and electronic components. These solutions are tailored to different technology types, including Vestas, Siemens-Gamesa, Senvion, Nordex, and GE.
