TÜV SÜD has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiwan’s Metals Industry Research & Development Center (MIRDC), CR Classification Society, Electronics Testing Center, Taiwan Electronic Research and Testing Center and Taiwan Institute of Economic Research.
The MoU addresses collaboration between these bodies over research, testing and certification activities in connection with offshore wind farms in Taiwan. The MoU confirms the continuation and expansion of existing collaboration in the field of offshore wind energy. This August, TÜV SÜD brought a 3-year training and technology project involving prototype measurements for wind turbines to a conclusion. During the programme, the experts from MIRDC had focused on the development and implementation of testing and certification processes. The project concluded with the accreditation of MIRDC by the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF).
