From now on, ZF Services will offer comprehensive services and support for ZF and non-ZF-products. The objective is to strengthen traditional drive trains through a significant reduction in repair time and herein an increase in turbine availability.
ZF Services performs repair and maintenance work on many different types of gearboxes in almost any performance range and from many different manufacturers. The international center of competence for Wind Energy Service is based in Dortmund, Germany. ZF Services has invested more than 9 million euro in Dortmund and already has expansion plans in the next few years. up to 200 gearbox repair orders are expected to be performed annually. A load test rig with four MW, which was developed and built by ZF Test Systems, is available there. In addition to its Center of Competence in Germany and existing locations in the USA, Great Britain, Italy, and Spain, ZF Services is currently setting up its China wind service strategy. Further international locations are already in the planning phase.
