Messe Husum & Congress, organiser of Husum Wind, together with the wind energy industry network WAB e.V., will host an offshore wind excursion on 31 August providing insight into wind farm and grid connection developments in the North Sea. Around 500 national and international participants are expected to join the full-day trip aboard the high-speed catamaran Halunder Jet, operated by FRS Helgoline, departing from Hamburg.
The route is designed to showcase the development of offshore wind over the past 15 years, from early pilot projects to current 15 MW turbine installations. Depending on weather conditions, the tour will pass up to 25 offshore wind farms and converter stations.
At selected sites, industry experts will provide technical briefings on project development, operational aspects and challenges linked to further offshore wind expansion in Germany.
Check-in begins at 6.00 am at Hamburg Landungsbrücken (Bridges 3/4), with departure scheduled for 7.00 am and return expected at 7.00 pm. The programme includes catering throughout the day, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks provided. Ticket prices are €349 (€319 for exhibitors), including VAT.
