With two months remaining until WWEC2025, the WWEA and CWEA have published an outline of the conference programme. Reflecting the theme “Empowering the Future with Wind Energy: Innovation, Collaboration, and Sustainable Growth”, the event will focus on promoting global wind energy development through international cooperation. The programme highlights key issues currently shaping the wind power sector.
The first day will open with a forum on global market developments and trends, featuring expert presentations from countries including Australia, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Morocco, Romania, Turkey and Vietnam.
The high-level segment on 4 December will formally inaugurate the conference, followed by the Shantou Dialogue, a new format bringing together industry leaders to discuss strengthening international supply chains and trade under fair and transparent frameworks.
On 5 December, the WWEA will introduce the Community Engagement Guidelines, developed by the WWEA Community Engagement Council. These guidelines aim to help investors and developers collaborate effectively with local communities in wind farm projects.
Eighteen sessions will address topics such as artificial intelligence, turbine component design, advanced resource assessment, offshore and small wind technologies. Other sessions will explore the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, including the China–Pakistan Wind Power Collaboration Forum, and the preservation of the global wind power heritage.
The event will conclude with a technical visit to wind power facilities in Shantou. Participation is free of charge, and registration is available through the WWEC2025 website.
