MEASNET (International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes) has published its external report on the Acoustic Noise Proficiency Test. The document presents the results of the MEASNET 20an01 Proficiency Test conducted under the rules of the IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications (IECRE).
It provides relevant and accurate information about the work of 16 technical laboratories worldwide involved in Acoustic Noise, achieving a success rate of 87.5%. The test was coordinated by Bo Søndengaard, the conductor of the test and former member of Sweco Denmark. MEASNET serves as the official IECRE provider for Proficiency Tests in the global wind industry, assessing qualification according to harmonised and aligned criteria. Since its inception in 2020, over 90 laboratories have participated in these technical evaluations. Proficiency testing demonstrates competence through inter-laboratory testing and builds mutual trust, facilitating international acceptance.
