A new report released by the American Clean Power Association (ACP) shows that, in the last two years, the U.S. clean energy industry has announced $500 billion in new investments. ACP’s 2024 Clean Energy Investing in America report notes that the industry is planning to build or expand over 160 domestic manufacturing facilities and has announced more than 100,000 new manufacturing jobs nationwide.

- Total capital investment announced is $500 billion.
- Manufacturing investment announced exceeds $60 billion.
- Realised project investments amount to $75 billion for projects that have come online in the last two years.
The investment into clean energy is driving new manufacturing activity:
- A total of 161 new manufacturing facilities have been announced.
- Forty-two facilities are now online and operating.
- One hundred nineteen facilities are in development.
The clean energy manufacturing activity is also contributing to American employment:
- Over 100,000 new manufacturing jobs have been announced.
- Twenty thousand jobs have been generated by operational facilities.
- Eighty thousand jobs are expected from facilities in development.
The clean energy sector has continued to expand its generating capacity and ambitions:
- Over 300 GW of capacity has been announced, enough to power the equivalent of over 47 million American homes.
- Fifty-five GW of capacity has been built.
- These projects generate enough energy to power the equivalent of over 10 million American homes.
