LM Wind Power’s 107-metre blade for the GE Renewable Energy’s Haliade-X wind turbine has received its Component Certificate from TÜV Nord. The test were performed on two blade which were manufactured at LM Wind Power’s facility in Cherbourg, France.
One blade completed its testing in September at the WTTC test facility in Boston, USA. The other blade underwent testing, including static testing, fatigue testing and post-fatigue testing, in Offshore Renewable Energy’s (ORE) catapult in Blyth, UK. These last test were finalised in mid-October.
