ImageDeep introduces solar powered security camera for remote sitesImageDeep has introduced Houndlight, a solar-powered, 4G-connected security camera with artificial intelligence (AI) detection and an integrated alarm system. The unit is designed for remote locations without mains electricity or internet access, including mining and quarry sites, farms, equipment yards, pipelines, compressor stations, solar and wind farms, and logistics facilities.

Houndlight combines solar power, battery storage, 4G connectivity and on-device AI. When a person or vehicle is detected, the system can automatically activate a light beacon, siren and voice warning.

Multiple units can be managed through ImageDeep’s Scopis AI platform, allowing operators to arm or disarm cameras together and organise them into zones. This enables monitoring across larger areas, such as equipment yards, pipeline corridors, farm sections and temporary work sites. The status of all connected units can be viewed through the platform.

Houndlight runs on solar power with battery storage and can operate for several days without grid electricity. It uses 4G connectivity, eliminating the need for Wi-Fi or cabling, and its on-device AI detects people and vehicles both day and night. When movement is detected, the system can automatically activate a light beacon, siren and voice warning, while sending alerts to a mobile phone. Optional human-verified monitoring is available through ImageDeep’s 24-hour operators. The camera can be mounted on a pole, wall or temporary post and relocated as site requirements change. Multiple units can be managed centrally through the Scopis AI platform.

Houndlight is available in Canada, the USA, the EU, the UK, Southeast Asia and Australia.
