Sany Renewable Energy has commissioned its first wind turbine in Europe for Grupo Jorge at Zuera in Zaragoza, Spain. The project combines a 6.25 MW Sany SI-172 wind turbine with photovoltaic generation and a battery storage system to optimise energy use at Grupo Jorge’s industrial facilities.
Sany will provide servicing for the wind turbine over the next 10 years. The steel tower has been manufactured in Spain, with inland transport, installation, commissioning and operations and maintenance subcontracted to local companies.
