Avent Lidar Technology, a new privately held company created to develop and manufacture LIDAR-based, wind turbine-mounted systems for the wind industry worldwide, announced its first product.
The Wind Iris performance analysis lidar provides 10 simultaneous measurements out to 400 meters upwind, in addition to providing a perfect cosine response with 360° horizontal tracking of turbine performance. The system’s optical head and processing unit are compact and lightweight, making it easy and safe to install, move, and maintain — onshore and offshore. Avent Lidar Technology is a joint investment of Leosphere, S.A.S, Paris, France and NRG Systems, Inc., Vermont, USA.
