DNV has secured a wind measurement project, marking the initial steps towards planning the development of a portfolio of offshore wind farms in South Korea.
In this initiative, DNV is delivering technical advisory services and project management support for the deployment and monitoring of seven Floating Lidar System (FLS) devices on behalf of Kredo Offshore, a Korean renewable energy developer. The responsibilities encompassed within DNV’s work scope involve reviewing the supplier track record and contracts, evaluating the FLS design, and analysing the data collected by these devices. DNV is conducting regular data checks for the wind measurements, utilising this information alongside technical data on the wind turbines to forecast the net annual energy production of the proposed wind farm.
