An international team of experts led by Ecofys is helping the Romanian Ministry of Environment and Water Management (MEWM) implement the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).
Romania, which will join the European Union on 1 January 2007, intends to participate in the scheme immediately from the date of entry. Ecofys will work with CAP SD from the Netherlands and local experts to develop the National Allocation Plan (NAP) for both the first and second trading period and also implement the monitoring and reporting system.
