EDF Renewables completes acquisition of offshore wind project in South Korea

EDF Renewables has acquired 100% of Shell Overseas Holdings’s shares in West Sea Energy 1, which is developing an offshore wind project in South Korea's Yeonggwang province.

 

This marks EDF Renewables' first offshore wind project in South Korea. With this acquisition, the company will continue to develop the project, which will have a maximum capacity of 1.5 GW. The next step is obtaining the "Electricity Business License," planned for 2025.
