Eolus has filed a permit application for the Västvind wind power project, located west of Gothenburg, Sweden. The project consists of up to 50 turbines with an installed capacity of 1,000 MW and an estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 4 TWh.
The offshore wind power project is situated off the western coast of Sweden, outside Öckerö and Kungälv. The permit application is to be processed by both the Land and Environment Court in Västra Götaland and the government, and if approved, the project can potentially be completed by 2029.
