Nora Ventu, a joint venture between Falck Renewables and BlueFloat Energy, has initiated a public consultation on two offshore wind projects totalling 1.4GW in the Gulf of Cagliari, off the coast of Sardinia, Italy.
Nora Energia 1 is located in the sea area of the Sardinian Channel, southwest of the Gulf of Cagliari, and will consist of 53 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 795MW. Nora Energia 2 is located about 30 kilometres south of Capo Carbonara and will consist of 40 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 600MW. A request for a maritime concession for both projects was filed with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility and the Port System Authority of Cagliari.
