Max Bögl Wind and Vestas have completed a wind project at Winnberg near Sengenthal, Germany, featuring a Vestas V172-7.2 MW turbine with a hub height of 199 metres installed on a Max Bögl hybrid tower. Commissioning is expected in the coming weeks.
The turbine has a total height of 285 metres. The project expands renewable electricity generation at the company's Sengenthal site. Together with the existing generation facilities at the site, the new turbine is expected to enable the company to cover around two-thirds of its electricity demand in Sengenthal from its own generation.
