GE and McLean’s Mountain Wind Limited Partnership have announced that the McLean’s Mountain Wind Farm on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, will be powered by 24 GE 2.85-103 turbines.
The McLean’s Mountain Wind Farm will provide 60MW of power to the grid. The project is a 50/50 partnership between Northland Power Inc. and Mnidoo Mnising Power (MMP). GE will provide operations and maintenance through a 10-year full service agreement for the wind farm. The facility will benefit from around-the-clock remote monitoring and diagnostics through GE’s global wind monitoring center in Schenectady, NY, USA.
