Ocean Winds (OW) has formalised a partnership with Eletrobras by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of offshore wind projects in Brazil.
This alliance combines Ocean Winds' experience in offshore wind projects – from origination to operation – with the expertise of Eletrobras, an electricity company in generation and transmission in Brazil.
Ocean Winds strategically targets Brazil due to its significant potential to meet the long-term growing renewable energy demand, support the energy transition, and generate opportunities for the supply chain and local communities. Ocean Winds (OW) is an international company operating in the field of offshore wind energy, established as a joint venture between EDP Renewables and ENGIE, with a 50:50 partnership.
