Ørsted has awarded a contract to Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) to manufacture and supply foundations for the 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in Taiwan.Under the agreement, PTSC will produce 33 suction bucket jacket (SBJ) foundations. The foundations will be installed at Greater Changhua 2b and 4 by the end of 2025. The project is estimated to use 70,000 tons of steel and create thousands jobs at PTSC and other contractors in the supply chain. The contract announcement follows Ørsted’s final investment decision, taken in March 2023.
