Renewable Power Capital (RPC) has commenced the construction of two onshore wind farms in Sweden, with a combined capacity of 230MW of renewable energy.
RPC’s Storhöjden and Knäsjöberget wind farms are part of its 553MW cluster, consisting of four wind farms located in the Kramfors and Sollefteå municipalities. In January 2024, RPC announced the order of 80 Nordex turbines for this cluster. Nordex will begin delivering and installing the turbines in spring 2025, with the Storhöjden and Knäsjöberget wind farms expected to commence operations at the start of 2026. LyondellBasell has entered into two 10-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with RPC for the electricity generated by these farms. These PPAs are anticipated to yield approximately 720,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of wind power annually.
