Suomen Voima and Statkraft have entered into a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in Sweden. The contract covers an estimated annual volume of 100 GWh, sourced from Statkraft’s Björkhöjden wind farm and Nedre Bjurfors hydropower plant.
Björkhöjden wind farm will supply half of the PPA’s volume. Operational since 2015, the wind farm consists of 90 Siemens wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.2 MW, providing a total installed capacity of 288 MW and generating approximately 700 GWh annually.
