Sonardyne has signed a memorandum of understanding with engineering company AMOG to develop a subsea asset monitoring service for floating offshore wind projects. The collaboration will combine Sonardyne's underwater monitoring, positioning and communications technologies with AMOG's engineering assessment capabilities to support the monitoring of floating wind turbine mooring systems.
The partnership includes the use of Sonardyne's Observer subsea asset integrity monitoring system, which provides motion monitoring capabilities, third-party sensor integration and onboard data analytics.
Sonardyne and AMOG are currently working on a near real-time mooring monitoring system for a floating offshore wind project in Europe.
