Statkraft Energias Renováveis (SKER), Statkraft’s subsidiary in Brazil has signed an agreement with EDP Renováveis (EDPR) to acquire the two operational wind farms, Jerusalém and Boqueirão, located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
The two wind farms consist of 62 turbines and have an installed capacity of 260MW. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Statkraft also has acquired a wind power portfolio from Breeze Two Energy in Germany and France, growing its repowering portfolio with 337 MW and 39 wind farms. 35 of the assets are based in Germany and four are in France. The aim is to optimise the operation of the wind farms and eventually replace the old turbines with new, more efficient ones. The purchase price for the portfolio was NOK 4.7 billion.
