Tekmar Energy has agreed to provide cable protection for Van Oord's Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind project in the Netherlands.
The scope of work for the contract will see Tekmar work with NKT Cables and LS Cable as the cable suppliers and Van Oord as the installer for a total of 87 cable protection systems including seven bellmouths of which six are for array cables and one is for the export cable. Tekmar will also provide full engineering of its systems to protect the power cables for their 25 year service life. The 43-turbine wind facility is expected to begin operations in 2015.
