TÜV NORD has presented Goldwind with a site specific design evaluation conformity statement for its Gullen Range wind farm in Australia.
Goldwind is erecting 73 wind turbines with a capacity of 165.5MW at the Gullen Range wind farm, which is located on the Great Dividing Range between Sydney and Canberra. Both 1.5MW and 2.5MW Goldwind permanent magnet direct drive wind turbines are being utilised at Gullen Range wind farm. With the site specific design evaluation conformity statement, TÜV NORD, has confirmed that the wind turbines are suitable for use at the specified locations. 14 technical experts from TÜV NORD were involved in this one-year project, dealing with aspects such as evaluation of site conditions, soil survey, load assumptions, electrical conditions and components, rotor blades, tower and machinery components.
