Vestas has received an order from ContourGlobal for a total capacity of 114MW for the Cupisnique and Talara wind power plants in Peru consisting of 45 units of the V100 platform and 17 units of the V100-1.8 MW, respectively.
The contract is a turnkey contract, which means that Vestas will provide the entire range of services to build the wind power plants, including civil and electrical works, supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system, as well as a 10-year service and maintenance agreement including the Active Output Management package AOM 4000. Delivery of the first turbines is expected to begin in Q1 2013 and the wind power plants are expected to be commercially operational during Q4 2013.
