Vestas has secured a service-contract extension for seven years from Enbridge for the 190-MW Enbridge Ontario Wind Project near Kincardine, Ontario.
The wind farm is installed in September 2006 and includes 115 V82-1.65MW wind turbines. Under the agreements, Vestas will provide a full range of services to maximize the turbines’ energy production. The services consist of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, replacement of major components and spare parts, and a surveillance system called VestasOnline, which allows Vestas to monitor and remotely control the turbines.
