Vestas has recorded a series of onshore wind turbine orders in southern Europe as part of its fourth quarter order intake, covering projects in Italy, Spain and Portugal with a combined capacity of 290 MW. In Italy, Vestas received a 125 MW order from ERG for the Carlentini and Greci-Montaguto projects.
The order comprises 18 V163-4.5 MW, six V136-4.5 MW and four V117-4.2 MW turbines. The projects will be supported by a long-term service agreement, with turbine delivery and commissioning expected by 2026.
In Spain, Capital Energy placed an 88 MW order for the El Castillar and Joluga projects. The order includes four V162-6.2 MW, nine V163-4.5 MW and five V150-4.5 MW turbines. A 20-year service agreement is included, with commissioning planned for the first and second quarters of 2027.
Vestas also secured two orders in Portugal. Saeta ordered 45 MW for the Penamarcor project, consisting of ten V163-4.5 MW turbines under a long-term service agreement. Commissioning is expected by the end of 2026.
In addition, Hyperion placed a 32 MW order for the Nortada project, covering seven V163-4.5 MW turbines. The project includes a 20-year service agreement, with turbine delivery and commissioning scheduled for the first half of 2027.
