Vestas has delivered 17 wind turbines for the 105 MW King Rocks Wind Farm in Western Australia. The shipment arrived at the Port of Bunbury and includes 51 blades measuring close to 80 metres in length, 85 tower sections and 17 hubs, nacelles and powertrains.

The turbine components will now be transported more than 450 kilometres inland to the project site near Hyden in the Wheatbelt region, where installation work is due to begin. The project, being developed for Synergy, will use 17 V162-6.2 MW turbines. Vestas is providing a full engineering, procurement and construction package for the project, alongside a 30-year service agreement.
