Goldwind has officially begun operations at its Wind Equipment Manufacturing Base in Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil, as of 27 August. The launch was supported by both Chinese and Brazilian governments.
The event was attended by Brazil’s Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, and Bahia’s Governor, Jerônimo Rodrigues, who spoke about the importance of the development. Ms. Tian Min, the Chinese Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, also noted the potential for Goldwind’s continued contributions to sustainable development in Brazil.
Furthermore, Goldwind's GWH182 Series has received full local FINAME accreditation from BNDES, Brazil's economic and social development institution. This certification allows wind farm projects to benefit from BNDES's Climate Fund and other financial incentives. The certification applies to the entire turbine and its essential components.
