Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has completed the transfer of its domestic onshore wind power business to Electric Power Development (J-Power). The transfer procedures were finalised on 1 April.
The transferred business includes engineering and after-sales services, while certain ongoing activities, such as the joint business with Vestas Wind Systems, are excluded. The transaction is intended to support the expansion of J-Power’s wind development activities by incorporating MHI’s experience in the sector. It is also expected to contribute to the strengthening of technical and maintenance capabilities.
